You have done it!!!! My many many thanks for sharing your
discovery. I've searched many hours on the web, in the past, looking for
a recipe that even came close to what I've had at our local Japanese
Steakhouse, Arigatos. The other day I got a craving and searched again
and was very curious to try this out after I found your posting on a
message board, leading me to this website. I made it last night, tried it
then and loved it. Let is sit overnight, tried it this morning, loved
it even more. I can't wait to surprise my husband and 3 boys with it
tonight for dinner, homecooked fried rice and shrimp. I just hope I
made enough!!!

It's wonderful that you've finally cracked the yum yum sauce code. I have a friend who raves about this sauce. It'll be great to try this recipe & see how it compares. I live in Columbus, Ohio. By a strange coincidence, this week the Columbus Dispatch newspaper had an article about a popular Japanese steakhouse called Genji. They were going to open in another location in Columbus, due to their popularity. To paraphrase the paper, the owner will take the recipe for the popular yum yum sauce to the new location, & no, he still won't give it out. Thanks to you, he won't need to. Kudos & a big hug!

Thank you! I loved this sauce but could never find out anything about it. Every time I would go to Mori - a Local Japanese restaurant here in Georgia - I would get two. Now I can make my own thanks to you.

Thanks so much! How amazing! We had this sauce at a local Kobe and I knew some enterprising person would have invented a way to make it at home! Well done!!!!
