Have used this many times and it is dead on! Thank you - like you said - we end up dumping in all over everything. It is also good on dishes other than what you traditionally get at Japanese stead houses - pork roast - etc.

I live in Seattle, but last year while visiting my soon-to-be daughter-in-laws family, we went to Myobi's Japanese Steakhouse in Augusta, GA. I have craved that taste ever since, now I can have it at home! Thank you!!!

This recipe worked great! However, I didn't listen about letting it sit overnight, but since I haven't had shrimp sauce in about 2 years, I couldn't really tell the difference. I will try letting it sit next time. Thanks!
